J.R. LONELODGE TEACHES DANCE TO TRIBAL YOUTH
Juaquin Lonelodge is a former US Marine and member of the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes. He gives back to the tribes by teaching native youth to dance in the traditional styles.
Juaquin, is a nationally known powwow fancy dancer winner of two World Championships.

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE FOR C&A VETERANS 2013
Vets dutifully paid tribute to all Tribal members who served or fell during times of conflict and those who continue to serve in the various branches of the military.
Participants placed US flags on the grave sites located at the Cheyenne Arapaho Burial Ground located in Concho.

C&A GRADUATION BANQUET
The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes hosted their annual graduation banquet for tribal members in May at Clinton's Frisco Center. Graduates from both high school and college were celebrated along with graduates of even higher degrees.

A LAND RUN ALTERNATIVE
The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes partnered with King's Gate Christian School to provide an educational alternative to the usual Oklahoma Land Run re-enactments that happen at most Oklahoma schools in late April.

NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH CHALLENGE BOWL
The Oklahoma Council on Indian Education sponsors an Indian Challenge Bowl every year, with Native students from all over Oklahoma competing in timed rounds with questions about Oklahoma tribes. School teams compete against other teams in the same grade.

NATIVE AMERICAN LANGUAGE FAIR
Norman OK's Sam Noble Museum of Natural History hosts a Native American Language Fair each year to celebrate the country's vast diversity of languages. The fair has grown to include not only spoken word but skits, films, song, dance, art, and most recently, comics.

YOUTH FORUM
Cheyenne and Arapaho youth are an important asset to the Native community, and the tribe makes every effort to keep them engaged in cultural and social activities with their peers. This leadership forum was held to encourage them to stay focused on their grades and athletic efforts in order to succeed.

DRUMS PROJECT
OKC Public Schools along with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes hosted a group of young Native men for the DRUMS Project. DRUMS is an acronym for Developing Responsible, United, and Motivated Students. Organizers hope to instill in young men the values that come from the drum making process including patience, honor, and respect.

POP ART
The Jacobson House in Norman, OK is a very cool place to see Native art. It hosts all kinds of exhibitions throughout the year. On March 8, 2013 it hosted a Pop Art show featuring a handful of great artists. CATV 47 was there and talked with Thomas Poolaw, who's always looking for new and fresh methods to create art.
