I am also a researcher for the MidAmerica Bigfoot Research Center. I have an idea for a reality series on Sasquatch research. It could include tribal legends of sasquatch, reports from our area and possibly on other reservations as well. We can feature tribal members that have had sightenings, as well as film the actual research being done in the area.
I work closely with Paul Hulsey, the researcher that was featured on Finding Bigfoot recently. He is very interested in being a part of a project like this. He is also of Cherokee decent. Paul & I are currently working on a research project entitled ""The Concho Connection: The Study of Native Dialect and Sasquatch Language"".
I would love the opportunity to speak to someone in person about this project.

I my name is Michael Landrum enrolled member of Cheyenne Arapaho tribes of Oklahoma and I am currently a Senior at Northeastern State University majoring in Public Relations with emphasis in Public Relations. I am currently working for the Indigenous Scholar Development Center on campus.
I am writing to get information on who to contact for a story that may have an interest to our tribal community. Starting Jan. 25 and going through April 7, NSU will be have the Native Words, Native Warriors Traveling Smithsonian Exhibition. Native Words, Native Warriors Exhibition tells the story of the military men from more than a dozen tribes who used their Native Languages while in service in the U.S. Military.
Through out the 10 week exhibition we are having several speakers and guest to tell personal stories and experiences that they have encountered with various Code Talkers.
We are looking for and help in reaching native communities and inform anyone who may be interested in seeing the exhibit.

Film Festival to Explore Links Between Land and Indigenous Cultural Identities
Norman ΓÇô Several feature and short films, plus panel discussions, will explore the deep-rooted and dynamic link between land and indigenous cultural identity.
The second annual Native Crossroads Film Festival is set for Thursday, Feb. 27 through Saturday, March 1 at the Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma.
The festival pairs screenings of short films with roundtable discussions intended to inspire conversations among filmmakers, campus scholars, community and tribal organization representatives, writers and performers.
Highlights of the festival include the Oklahoma debuts of three major motion pictures concerned with indigenous connections to place: Winter in the Blood, The Lesser Blessed and Satellite Boy.
Keynote speaker Winona LaDuke (Mississippi Band Anishinaabe), a nationally renowned advocate for environmental activism, sustainable development, and indigenous land rights, will speak 4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28.
Feature films screened include:
ΓÇ£The Lesser Blessed,ΓÇ¥ 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, Kerr Auditorium, Sam Noble Natural History Museum. Q&A with writer Richard Van Camp to follow.
Based on the novel by Richard Van Camp (Tlicho Dene), ΓÇ£The Lesser BlessedΓÇ¥ is the story of Larry Sole, a Tlicho Indian growing up in the small northern town of Fort Simmer. At 16, he loves heavy metal, the North and Juliet Hope. Starring Joel Evans and Benjamin Bratt, ΓÇ£The Lesser BlessedΓÇ¥ is an eye-opening depiction of what it is to be a young Native man in a remote Northern community.

Together the boys travel through epic Kimberley country, and when they get lost in the bush, Pete and Kalmain find true friendship. Starving and thirsty, Pete must remember some of the traditional bush skills his grandfather taught him in order to survive.

I was taught native beading as a young woman by a lakota friend. I however do not do tradional native american beadwork as I am not native american. My love of beads was born at 14, I am 58 now and have many years of experience with other forms of beadwork. My reason for attempting to contact this artist was while watching a video posted on facebook, I noticed his method of bead storage. I wanted to share with him one that my husband developed before he passed away. It would be a gift not a sell thing. It is my way of saying thanks to another artist and express my gratitude for the young man who shared with me at 14 a lifetime of love in beadwork. thanks

I have been trying to teach Madilyn, our Native Languages, both Cheyenne and Arapaho...Thanks to Cheyenne Arapaho-Television and WWW.CALANGUAGE.COM...Just listening to the phrases and sometimes even watching the videos...she has been learning our languages. In teaching her, I have been learning a lot myself...I'm so happy that we can get to learn together...We have learned It's a Good Morning, It's a Good Evening, It's Fall, and we are going to continue to learn. Thank you to both the CATV and Language Program.
